Biofreeze Articles The Courage to Be YOU!

Whooooo are you? Who-who, who-who… What do you say when someone asks you what you do? Do you have a strong pat answer such as “I am an Attorney” or “I am a writer.” If you have been successful in your field you may be able to answer with confidence. But what if you are unsure, in transition or starting something new? What do you think when you hear that question? What do you say? Do you feel yourself freeze and react like a deer in headlights? Or do you blabble and blurt garblish nonsense? Do you sound confident or do you sound like you are still trying to convince yourself? And do you really even know who you are? Do you know the real YOU?

Oprah said something that hit me hard…”Stop the struggle and allow the truth of who you are to rule your life.” It may be difficult to allow yourself to be the real YOU for many reasons. We may feel insecure about the validity of our choice. We may be wary of what “Others” will think. We may feel that we are asking for too much to be that novelist that we dream of being. Or maybe we feel we really do not deserve to be that business owner because…well…because we are who we are… We don’t want to be laughed at or ridiculed. And I can relate. I understand. The quickest way to kill a dream is to tell folks who we regard as valuable or important and have them pooh-pooh us.

Well, how about a way to become the Dream You, which is less scary and starts with baby steps for any tenderfoot? (Do not share this with anyone!!! It can be your delicious secret!)

12 Tenderfoot Steps to Courageously Become YOU:

1. When you figure out your Dream Self, write down what you feel like as that Self. Write down what you do as that Dream Self. Picture your life being that Dream Self. You may want to cut out pictures to make a vision board or scrapbook of your Dream Self. Tell your dog all about your Dream Self.

2. Find 5 minutes a day to visit this Dream Self. Come on now, 5 minutes! Think about your Dream Self, talk to your Dream Self, write to your Dream Self, meditate, daydream… you choose! Just do it every day!!

3. Make up Business Cards for your Dream Self. You do not have to pass them out or anything, just physically have them to hold and look at. Put your picture on your card so you can see yourself as your Dream Self.

4. When you get up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror and repeat in your head… I AM ________________. Look deep into your own eyes and say it with conviction. Do the same thing before going to bed at night (and anytime you think of it during the day).

5. While going about your day, start mentally pretending to be that Dream Self. You do not have to tell anyone, just start saying things to yourself such as “What would I do as my Dream Self…?

6. Get up 10 minutes earlier to have 10 minutes to physically pretend to be your Dream Self. Actually do things that you would do as your Dream Self. For example, writers write, so sit down and write for 10 minutes. Make inquiring phone calls to a company that you would like to do business with (you don’t have to give your real name). Thumb through a trade paper or magazine that deals with your Dream Self… Just do something for 10 minutes.

7. Play around with phrases that describe what you do as your Dream Self. Write down the best ones.

8. Make up your Dream Self bio.

9. Figure out what the first step would be to take on a new client or to contact that first customer or service provider. Write it down.

10. Think up what your Dream Self website would look like – what would it say, do, promote, how would it tell your story…

11. Pretend you are asked to speak about you and your success. What would you say? How would you be introduced? What is your “story?”

12. Keep doing all of this and more because at this point you already ARE your Dream Self…but you may not realize it yet!!

Biofreeze Articles Text Determination in SAP SD (Concepts)

What are Texts?

Text is a small piece of formatted or unformatted text that is functionally used to describe or note information in master data and transactional data. For example, a temperature sensitive material (say a bio-reagent) needs to be kept under freezing temperatures always. Although there is another field called Storage Conditions to denote this, we can use this field with more specific comments so that the folks selling this material can ensure that they always inform the customer that they need to have storage facilities for the same. Since the information in this case is used to inform sales agents, it can be a “Sales Text”

Now, its not just enough that the material master contains this. We will also have to ensure that the sales agents creating orders for this material has visibility to the same. That means that the sales order should also have them available. And since this is specific to the specific material, this needs to be part of the line item not the sales order header.

As you can see from the example above, there are myriad number of texts like item note, packing note, delivery text, purchase order text, production memo etc. All of these texts are either flown in from the corresponding master data (Customer master, material master etc) or entered in the transaction itself. In summary, texts are little pieces of information that are useful in communication information about master data or transaction specific data across the enterprise.

Can Texts be Formatted?

Yes. This information (Or Objects as they are normally called in SAP lingo) need not be constrained to plain text only. You can use the buttons highlighted below to import or export information. You can use the standard “Clipboard” button to copy or paste text.

How do they Flow? (Determination)

As can be seen from the example above, the material sales info has flown in from the master data (Sales info view of the material master) to the line item view of the sales order.

Biofreeze Articles Five Steps to Building Your Twitter Followers List the Right Way

So, you have a Twitter account. You got your profile all set up, and have even started posting some really clever updates. But, how on earth do you get people to read those? Is there any way to have twitter followers effectively and consistently? The short answer is, “Yes!”

The problem with this and pretty much every other thing in life, is that people want immediate gratification. There is no patience and no true understanding of the value of working to achieve the desired results. So, people turn to automated systems and other programs that offer to build their Twitter followers list overnight. I have two basic problems with those systems: they fill your followers list with spammers and other users which harm you more than they help you, and secondly, they can get your account removed. This is the Right way to build your list.

Find Gurus or Experts in Your Niche- Once you identify the Gurus in your area and go through their followers list and follow, on average, 3 to 5 pages worth of their followers. Make sure the people you add have posted something within the last few days. You don’t want to add people who only sign in sporadically.
Use the “Find People” Feature – Click the “Find People tab on your Twitter page. You will be redirected to a page with a search box in it. Type in keywords related to t he market your wish to tap. Then, you will get a list of all the people who have added your keyword to their profiles. Add as many as 500 of the people from those results in a day.
Use Twellow – This is NOT an automating service. Twellow is the Twitter equivalent to Yellow Pages. The advantage of this site is that it allows you to find people based on groups, keywords and even location. You can then see their picture and bio right there and decide whether you want to follow them or not. You will also be able to see if you are already following them or not, and if they are following you. Use this tool to add no more than 500 people per day.
Follow Your Followers’ Followers – Once you have alist of followers, go through the list and pick 3-5 people in your list and follow 3-5 pages of their followers. See, you will increase your exposure by an average of 1,000 people everytime you follow someone new. And, although these are followers of people who follow you, they do not have access to your tweets unless they have been re-tweeted (RT)
Provide Real Value – Make it a point to inspire, educate, and help people on Twitter. The more value you provide the more you RTs you will receive and the more your name will become known. Peopl will then want to follow you because of your content, not just because you followed them first.

A word of caution: Don’t be too aggressive with any one strategy for adding followers on Twitter. If you get too hungry and start following thousands of people at a time, they will freeze your account until they figure out what you’re doing, and you could have your account permanently removed. So, don’t risk that. Remember, in most cases, and Twitter is no exception, slow and steady wins the race! Happy Tweeting!

Biofreeze Articles Biofeedback Stress

Can learning biofeedback cause stress? For awhile it might, but I think that biofeedback is an excellent tool to have on board for those moments when I switch from eustress to distress, and want to flip back.

In other words, distress is not something I need to experience continually, even in a war zone.

In my house, while we do have economic problems to face, for example, there is no need to fill my body with the kind of adrenalin and cortisol required to fight for my life, run for my life, or freeze.

(Honey Do lists are known to bring on fight or flight chemistry, though).

So if I find myself getting distressed over the lack of follow through by my child in the bathroom pick-up department, I need to find a thought and breathing pattern that will first of all move me back to eustress, the helpful stress that helps me find solutions.

I have tried a number of different tools over the decades, including a number of biofeedback solutions like bio-dots, handwarming, EEG neurofeedback, and heart rate variability biofeedback, and the one which has proven to be the most powerful and easy to use has been heart rate variability biofeedback for stress.

Probably one of the reasons it is so powerful but easy to learn is that heart rate variability biofeedback is based on some newer discoveries about the heart’s own nervous system.

We all know and understand that the heart impacts every cell in our body every time it beats, either electro-magnetically or pneumatically, but no one knew that the heart had a very sophisticated nervous system that operates independently of the brain in our heads.

In fact the heart sends more data to the brain than the brain sends to the heart, and there is enough intelligence in the heart’s nervous system that it can learn and make decisions, and that is what makes heart rate variability biofeedback such a wonderful biofeedback stress tool.

I first heard about heart rate variability for biofeedback stress in a list serve for EEG neurofeedback providers, and because I knew they were a dedicated and committed crew, I decided to check it out, found a hospital nearby where everyone on staff had learned the heart rate variability biofeedback tool, much to the delight of their patients.

Everyone on staff at a large hospital was using the tool and job satisfaction had improved? At a hospital, which is a stressful place to work?

So I went to a workshop there and ended up buying the software, somewhat worried that installing it and learning the process would be stressful, as I am not an intuitive user of computers.

Well, the installation was not hard, and using the tool proved to be a snap, and much to my surprise, I began to be able to generate long periods, up to 20 minutes of heart rate variability coherence which felt wonderful.

However, an effective biofeedback stress tool would not involve carrying a computer with me, so was the tool portable? Could I use it on the run, so to speak?

Absolutely, after six practices, perhaps three hours, I was able to use the Quick Coherence Tool, and my cue thought, and I could feel the change to coherence.

Actually a large part of the training is understanding that the heart’s intelligence is affiliative and cooperative, and cuing that intelligence produces a discernible change in feelings, a very pleasant feeling.

In fact, I cue that physiology frequently just because I like to feel good.

So now I am moving away from using the heart rate variability biofeedback as a stress reduction tool and in to a proactive health and brain fitness tool.

Brain fitness? Yes, a coherent heart rate variability opens the higher perceptual centers of the brain for good decision making.

I began to teach this tool to my domestic violence guys, and many were amazed to see how quickly, even when sitting quietly, that their thoughts impacted their feelings, and how they were able to manage that physiology by changing thoughts from stressful to gratitude for example.

So I would suggest that heart rate variability biofeedback is a wonderful biofeedback stress tool.

Biofreeze Articles Spontaneous Laser Light Human Cell Modification to Stem Cells For Instant Evolution

There may be a way to get human cells to modify themselves back into stem cells for instant evolution using the junk DNA in the system. In other words, we might be able to get a human being to grow gills during a space flight for use once they get to their destination, or modify lungs to accept atmospheres much different from here on Earth. Consider if you will that other planets will have different percentages of gases in their atmosphere, which could cause instant havoc for the robust, but specifically evolved human bio-system.

Interestingly enough there is an Israeli firm that is working on “coaxing cells to reverse back to stem cells” and one can only imagine the incredible breakthrough for degenerative diseases, but I say let’s look into the future and see what we can really do with such technology, and let’s see if we can use different frequencies and spectrums of light to help move this along. With this ability we might be able to build cities and towns at the top of the highest mountains in the world.

There are Tibetians for instance, with slightly different mitochondrial DNA which allows them to live up at high altitudes just like llamas and other animals. A slight modification and all of a sudden all those areas are not inhabitable. Also there are some people with the special ability to keep from freezing in very cold water, so, a couple of modifications here, and a few there, and we are well on our way to doing just about anything we want for specific needs.

For long-term space flight, no need to worry about bone density loss, just keep the bones tuned up and allow the body to continually regenerate. By the way such a technology might be the answer to infinite life spans too. Thus, this idea, concept, and space application is one of my two daily “original thoughts” for June 30, 2010. Could be worth 100s of millions of dollars in commercial value if acted upon.

Biofreeze Articles What is a Gene Bank?

There are hundreds of endangered animal species on the planet now, threatened by conditions brought on by human exploitation and pollution. By using gene banks, we can preserve the genes now, and hopefully recreate them through cloning later, when science takes further steps and discover the means to do that. Until that, it is important that we are able to store these genes. Not only animal genes are threatened, plants are endangered as well, many species of crops may perish.

Gene banks have been recognized as of extreme importance; they exist for several years now and are located in different parts of the world. These banks don’t only offer DNA preservation, they also help scientists to study the nature, animals and plants.

Researchers collect genetic samples from plants and animals and store them away in banks. The genes of a living organism are its blueprints, the DNA that exists in each of its cells. By properly freezing the DNA material, the blueprints can be preserved for the future. The seeds conserved and stored may belong to food crops, or to rare species, all saved in order to protect biodiversity. The collections of seeds or other types of genetic material are also stored for possible use in agriculture, in medicine, genetic engineering, etc.

Gene banks conserve genetic resources, be it from plants or animals. In plants, the seeds are collected and stocked, or cuts from the plant are taken and frozen, while sperm and eggs are taken from animals and stored in zoological freezers.

Gene banks need to perform several operations; they need to collect genetic resources and be able to conservate them for a long time. They act as a repository for the collected material. These banks also need to monitor that the existing sample collections are maintained under favorable conditions, according to the standards. The genetic material needs to be periodically evaluated for best quality conservation. All information needs to be recorded in databases, therefore specific information systems need to be used. In this type of banks, the sample collections need to be well documented; to achieve that, the information systems are used by banks to the store data. Companies specialized in bio-banking need to be selected for best sample storage and retrieval operations.

In gene banks, samples are monitored continuously as to prolong their lifespan for as long as possible; this way, quality is ensured. On a periodical basis, plants need to be regenerated; they need to be grown out and new seeds harvested, otherwise sample perish, even though they are kept in best conditions.

The forecast is that gene banks may become increasingly used, according to the increase in the rate of extinction of Earth’s species; the biodiversity needs to be protected.

Biofreeze Articles 9 Ways Acai Blend Juice Will Assist You

Acai fruit juice is clearly best taken in genuine form, but that can be noticeably dear. An alternative to the natural form is an acai blend juice consisting of 40% acai fruit juice and the juices of blueberry, raspberry and pomegranate. These added juices have higher ORAC values (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) than natural acai juice, thus why this precise blend is so much better.

Even so, acai has ten times the antioxidant levels of grapes; thirty times that of red wine; and double that of blueberries. The purple hue of acai fruits is due to the presence of anthocyanins in the pulp. Like purple plums, the intense red apple, and the intense green spinach, these are the tints of anthocyanins – a class of flavinoids. When you devour them, the anthocyanins transfer their oxygen radical cleansing properties quickly to you.

Acai blend juice holds natural omega fatty acids, too. In fact, acai’s fatty acid profile is akin to that of olive oil – a food thought to be useful for heart of the Mediterranean diet. Omega 3, 5 and 9 fatty acids also promote a healthy nervous system and aid muscular growth. Also inside in acai juice is dietary fibre, which is good for the guts. The berry also holds an almost complete essential amino acid complex that helps muscular performance, gives endurance, strength and stamina – this is why it is perfect for top sportsmen and sportswomen.

Acai blend holds photosterols. These come from plant cell membranes and help the heart by maintaining optimal cholesterol levels and helping healthy digestion. On top of all this acai juice provides you with vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and E. In fact, there is as much vitamin C in acai as is found in blueberries. The fruit in addition holds elements such as magnesium, copper, zinc, calcium, and potassium.

So, with all that, here are nine ways that acai blend juice may benefit you:

It increases the levels of antioxidants in your body to cancel and eliminate damaging free radicals. This assists to battle against cancer and early aging.
With its omega fatty acids and photosterols it helps boost cardiovascular health.
The essential amino acid complex enclosed in the juice boosts muscular development and regeneration.
It boosts a healthy nervous system and assists you slumber better.
The amino acids in the juice blend aid enhance your energy levels.
It maintains and controls healthy cell division.
The dietary fibre in the juice boosts a good digestive system.
The juice helps to maintain a healthy immune function.
Lastly, the acai juice boosts your libido.

So, with all the appeal in this ‘superfood’, boffins have become interested in acai and have prepared some initial studies. Those at the University of Florida show acai’s promise as a food that can enhance fitness and reduce the signs of aging. There is evidence for the fruit’s promise in reversing chronic health issues.

One of the greatest problems in acquiring acai juice in its effective and fresh form becoming obtainable to everybody is in its perishability. The pure juice can be bottled, but once opened the contents must be used up within 30 days or so. Perhaps a better way is to freeze-dry the pulp soon after its harvest and supply it in capsule form. Ultimately it is how the fruit is preserved that affects how bio-available it is for you.

Finally, in these so-called ‘green’ times, people will be happy to know that harvesting the acai fruits does not destroy the Amazon rainforest. It provides livelihood and sustenance for the harvesters and their kin. They achieve a living wage and improved living standards. It also saves trees – they won’t log acai berry palm trees when there is a market for the berries.

Hard drive failure is a horrifying reality. All hard drives crash, sooner or later, irrespective of their interfaces and makes/models. When a crash occurs, the degree of effect depends upon your disaster recovery plan. If you have a complete and updated backup of all your important data, you can easily handle it without losing your data and work time. On the other hand, if you are not prepared to fix the problem, Hard Drive Recovery comes into picture. It is the process of retrieving lost data from hard disk, which can not be accessed in normal fashion.

Symptoms of HDD Failure (Logical):

In most cases, you see some signs of the problem before your drive fails or stops functioning. Such warning signs include:

System freezes frequently, while working.

System stops responding at boot time or does not boot at all.

Files disappear mysteriously.

System speed goes down dramatically.

You come across Blue Screen of Death (in Windows) or STOP errors.

These are early warning signs, which denote pending drive failure. When you see any such symptom, you should immediately backup your data to prevent data loss, which would then require Hard Disk Recovery.

HDD Failure Diagnostics

The very first thing that you should do is to identify whether the drive is actually failed. You can go through the following steps to diagnose the problem:

Check power cable and HD controllers.

Verify that the hard disk is detected in BIOS (Basic Input/Output System).

Use disk repair utilities to check the integrity and consistency of the drive.

Use bootable disk of anti-virus software to scan drive for boot viruses.

Restore Data From Backup

If your data structures, file system, or critical system files are corrupted, restore data from the backup. Backup hard drive roves a great help in all such cases of failure. However, you may face serious problems if the backup is not complete.

Data Recovery

Do not lose hope! Your data is still recoverable from failed drive using Hard Drive Recovery Software. These are powerful third-party applications, which use high-end scanning algorithms to thoroughly scan the failed hdd and extract all lost data from it. These applications Recover Hard Drive data in a quick, safe, easy, and efficient way.

Biofreeze Articles Personal Branding and How it Can Help Your Business

Posted on 14th April 2011 by admin in Biofreeze Articles

What is Personal Branding and how can it help your business? There are a few steps to accomplish this task although easy it can be time consuming especially for the individual that has not invested time into what is in their best interest. The key to any success (and this isn’t cutting edge information) is to be compensated for what you love to do. You want to figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life, setting goals, writing out a plan on how you are going to get there, and establishing a personal brand statement ( what are you going to stand for or how are you going to serve them). Remember how you perceive yourself is how others perceive you. Once you figure these steps out you want to be unique with your site, there are so many websites out there and some you never remember or some you forget how to get to, so brand your name.

Next thing you want to do to help your personal Branding is to get business cards, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you are doing if you want to be known for “you”, you need a business card. They need to have your picture, your brand statement and your preferred contact information.

You will also definitely want to look into getting your own blog or website, for example yourname.com and tell your story. What have you done in the past and what are you doing now, a great way to get more out in the digital world is to have a blog. An individual that has a blog and uses it consistently will have a huge advantage over someone who does not because blogs rank higher on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing to name a few. Which if you are in Internet Marketing this will drive more people to your website in turn turning into profits. One part of your website needs to have “your story”; you need to have pictures of you with other people (when you brand yourself for marketing as I have, realized this is a people business). People relate with people not facts, figures, graphs, corporations, charts or things like that. The more of “you” that you get out online is the more that people can relate with you, for example if you go online to promote yourself in camo, a deer rifle and a buck you are going to attract and relate to that type of individual. If you brand yourself online in a business suit, driving your Porsche, eating bon-bons, you will attract that type of individual. Personal branding is about you, what you like to do, and who you are, never try to be something you aren’t, as people can read and see passion for what you do or the lack of passion also.

Another definite must is obtaining a LinkedIn profile, this profile is a combination of a resume, cover letter, references document and a moving and living database of your network. Use it to create your own personal advertising, to search for jobs or meet new people. This is a great resource to mingle with like- minded individuals and build a larger networking group. This group helps your personal branding also because you can join groups and discussions on things you enjoy or interest you.

Facebook is a wonderful way to brand yourself and what you like to do and who you are, Facebook was ranked the #3 website in the world at one time and has over 160 million profiles, but what I have found is so many have not even put up a picture. Having a blank picture on any profile is like a blank canvas, people can see nothing or imagine anything and your personal branding can be jeopardized. I can only strongly recommend that if you want to be “you” and be branded put up a picture, people love pictures, they can put a face with the name, and then they can really start relating with you and your brand. Make sure you fill out all the options, what you like, don’t like, previous work experience, favorite color and the sort, I would be careful though on confidential information though, just use some common sense.

I would also and have setup a Twitter account, you can really brand yourself with this, and you want to make sure you put a picture in your profile that has you smiling. This is very important, people want to be around and see positive people, they want to see you smiling and being happy, I would recommend having your picture taken by a professional. Just think of it this way, you went to a “outing” with friends and someone got a picture of you on their camera phone, is it blurry, fuzzy, do you have red eyes… the first impression is the lasting impression, get it done professionally. When you set up your back drop use a calming background, soothing, maybe a tropical escape, something that people will want to stick around and read about you, also put your website or blog info in your bio.

Everyday lifestyle, while you may not think this is important it is quite important to say the least. How you dress, act, treat others, and carry on your daily life. If you go out to Starbucks and hang out on your laptop drinking lattes in a dress casual wardrobe you will get different looks and thought inquiries from others. People may approach you and start up a general conversation, which gets you to building a relationship with this person whether it may be personal or business, but ultimately you are branding yourself daily as you go out and interact with people. Dress to Impress and you probably will!

All these are ways to brand yourself as an Individual, which is what you want, someone they can relate to, and someone who knows where they are coming from. If you were tired of working 70+ hours a week, tired of the pay freezes, tired of the politics of corporate America, if you lost your job, lost all your money in the stock market debacles. (this is your pain). How did you solve or how are you solving the pain and having a better life… this is your story… some people can relate to what your story tells, and if you are happy now and or successful people want to follow you.

Good luck with your personal branding and have a phenomenal day!
